All members of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association, full and associate, are cordially invited to attend the biennial SZBA conference.
Overview. Join friends and colleagues for our first in-person conference since 2018. We will address key issues impacting our resilience and relevance, including: Beyond Ethics 101, Elevating Women’s Voices, Engaging Young Adults, Ritual, Leveraging Technology, and more. The conference will also include:
- Opportunities to engage formally and informally with your peers
- Discussion groups with topics identified by members
- Work sessions focused on the practical application of conference learning back home
- Zen’s Got Talent! show
- The Dharma Heritage Ceremony formally welcoming full members who have not yet participated in this ceremony
- A memorial ceremony honoring members who have died since the last conference
Registration fees:
- Registration includes accommodations, meals, and all conference sessions and materials.
- Please note special dietary or accessibility needs in the registration form when prompted.
- If you need financial assistance, please register using the "need to pay less" ticket. We will contact you with more information about what support is available.
- We are deeply grateful to those who are able to pay more to help others attend!
Refund policy:
We ask our members to communicate with us as soon as possible if there is a need for cancellation. For cancellations before the registration deadline, the SZBA charges a 5% processing fee. No refunds are available after the registration deadline.
